Hey y’all! I hope everyone is having a wonderful October and is stitching their hearts out as the weather is finally starting to turn. Needlepoint has taken over a big part of my personality and I now want to convert everyone I know into a stitcher. I’m not sure though which is better, gifting a stitched piece or the tools for someone to stitch. I guess it depends on the recipient. We’re going to a wedding in November and I’m giving them with a Morgan Julia Design wedding bar cart that I personalized with the help of my wonderful neighbor. The finished piece with a stand and maybe a bottle of champagne. The bride knows about the gift and wants to display it on their card box so the pressure is on to make sure it’s good!
Christmas is now like 80 some days away and I’m starting to freak out about gifts I was planning on stitching. My Christmas deadline is still Halloween for anyone who can stitch quickly. Calder Clark and Coco Frank just dropped a collab for pre stitched ornaments and also the matching canvas. I’m thinking about gifting a friend the pair, one so she can put on her tree this year and one for her to learn to stitch and possibly gift in the future. I think it’s a super cute idea but let me know what y’all think. I’m also thinking about gifting a boat tote with a canvas and fiber to a dear friend who recently took up needlepoint.
I’m currently batching for an order of 5 sorority magnets,12 rounds and a few pillows that are blocking. Magnets have been my favorite finish, I love that you can show them year round and how cute they are. Last week I finished a Miller Lite bottle for a repeat customer and I recommended we add a magnet to it and she loved the idea. I have another repeat client who also LOVES magnet finishes and her pieces are always so cute! I’ve made a few for my husband of funny little canvases for our deep freezer in his office. I’m gonna add some pictures of them below for y’all to see!
The batch of sorority magnets I’m going to make a quick tutorial for and post it on here after I get them going. It’ll be on my Instagram and TikTok too for anyone who wants to save it. The magnets are from Amazon and so is also everything else I use to finish and I’ll link all of that for anyone who wants it.Finishing tools on amazon
To my clients who allow me to share their pieces thank you so much and thank you to all of my clients in general y’all are the best. To my repeat clients please look out for a text message, I’m doing something special for y’all for Christmas and I can’t wait to share!
Side bar, virtual stitch club for the Grandmillennial American Needlepoint Group on Facebook is next Thursday the 24th and we’d love to have anyone join. Link will be posted in the group, not sure how attendance will be but we’d still love to have you.
